Bolde - Fashion Presentation

Event: Miami Swim Week @ Paraiso - 6/1/25

If you were looking to attend a fashion show that provided endless styles of wetsuits, look no further. Bolde presented their latest collection under the Paraiso tent on Sunday, June 1st. Ten models walked the catwalk wearing wetsuits of various styles and colors. This collection showcased no ordinary swimwear. These wetsuits gave off a vibe as if the models were about to go scuba diving. Two of the models actually wore matching scuba diving goggles. One model walked with a matching handbag while another walked with a small dog who also wore a matching outfit.

This collection was very unique and the founder of Bolde Amanda Elizabeth, gave us an amazing interview regarding it. We asked her the following:

1. What is the name of the collection that you presented during Miami Swim Week? What inspired you to create this particular collection?

The name of our current collection is The Luminescent Collection. We also debuted our upcoming collection at Miami Swim Week - 'Ka Honu' which is Hawaiin for 'The Turtle' (The collection has turtles inside of the pattern on the side panels). All of our collections are inspired by the Ocean and the beautiful creatures that live within it.

2. What separates the swimwear collection of "Bolde" from other brands in the industry?

BOLDE creates high-performance, beautifully made wetsuits, with a strong focus on design, innovation and sustainability. BOLDE wetsuits are designed by women, for women, offering thoughtfully crafted suits with strategically placed seams, supportive panelling and silhouettes that contour and move seamlessly with the body. We are size inclusive offering sizes 6 through to 20 (Australian sizing) so that everybody can enjoy the water.  All BOLDE wetsuits are engineered using innovative Japanese Yamamoto Limestone neoprene, a premium eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based neoprene. This Japanese-made material boasts a superior closed-cell structure which outperforms traditional products on the market offering better insulation, stretch, flexibility and durability.

3. Paraiso has created an Amazing opportunity for brands to showcase their collection? Describe your experience showcasing at this event? What was it like to work with the models & everyone else involved to ensure that your vision became a reality?

Miami Swim Week at Paraiso was our debut runway show, so the event was incredibly exciting for us. Working with the team - from the talented models, to the makeup artists, hair stylists, and production crew - was inspiring. There was a real sense of collaboration, each person was committed to bringing the vision to life, and that synergy was reflected on the runway. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful teamwork and shared passion can be in transforming an idea into a living, breathing showcase.

4. Where do you see yourself and your brand in the next 10 years and beyond?

In the next 10 years and beyond, I see myself and my brand continuing to evolve into a global force that not only defines ocean trends, but also sets new standards in sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation. I envision expanding our reach internationally - both in presence and impact - while staying true to the values that shaped our identity from the beginning. I want BOLDE to become a lifestyle movement that empowers women to feel confident, comfortable, and celebrated. Ultimately, I see this journey as more than building a brand - it's about building a legacy that inspires women to begin or continue pursuing what they love.

Deja Natei covering Bolde @ Paraiso

Fashion model and blogger Deja Natei was on hand covering Bolde @ Paraiso and gave us her take regarding the collection.

Deja stated: Bolde’s collection had me ready to dive straight into the ocean and look absolutely fierce doing it. It was giving under the sea fantasy with a high-fashion twist. The designs were bright, bold, and beautifully celebrated the female form. They proved that wetsuits don’t have to be basic - they can be art. The cuts were flattering, the color choices were amazing, and the designs were clearly made with a deep understanding of a woman’s body. Every look screamed strength, style, and confidence in and out of the water. Bolde didn’t just make swimwear - they made a statement.

My absolute favorite was a long-sleeve swimsuit in varying shades of pink that completely stole my heart. It was elegant, sporty, and unapologetically feminine all at once. I immediately pictured myself doing an underwater photoshoot in it, serving face and body while floating like a goddess. It’s the kind of suit that makes you feel unstoppable on vacation, in a shoot, diving or even just stepping into your power poolside.

I'd love for the opportunity to walk for Bolde @ Paraiso. That would be a full-circle moment. To wear a brand that designs with boldness, beauty, and real women in mind, on one of the most iconic swimwear stages in the world, would be nothing short of powerful. I’m not just manifesting it, I’m preparing for it. I can already picture the lights, the energy, the music, and me confidently walking in one of their signature pieces, representing everything they stand for.  With strength, femininity, and fearlessness I know I can represent their vision with grace and presence. When a brand aligns with your energy, it’s more than modeling, it’s a moment. And I’d be honored to create that moment with Bolde.
