What does it take to be a fashion model? Practice, patience, poise, etc... These are some of the qualities that Jaya Araye Williams exhibited on the runway during Miami Swim Week as she walked the runway for fashion designer Lila Nikole. Jaya who is half East Indian and half African American has been modeling for three years. She has always been intrigued by the fashion industry since I was little. Jaya states "Modeling to me is a form of art that gives me the chance to express who I am louder than words ever could. I hope to be an inspiration to other brown and mixed race girls that anything is possible".

     We asked Jaya: What was your experience walking for the designer brand "Lila Nikole"? She stated: I had an incredible time working with Lila Nikole. Walking her runway was an unforgettable experience and I felt honored to represent one of her beautiful designs. Jaya wore a gorgeous colorful two piece from the new collection!
